Advanced training for massage therapists
Immersive training path
3-level curriculum · 3 days per level · 8 hours/day
Connecting with the Fascia
Duration: 3 days | 8 hours/day
Prerequisite: Minimum 1 year of professional experience
Course overview
Begin your journey into Structural Myofascial Therapy® with this full-body, hands-on introduction to fascia-based work that emphasizes perception, presence, and relationship. This foundational course introduces core SMFT® manual techniques alongside the essential practice of Postural Somatic Awareness (PSA) as a lived, subjective assessment process.
Through guided touch, movement exploration, and observation, participants learn to perceive posture and movement patterns, support tissue adaptability, and apply coherent myofascial approaches that enhance overall structural health. Emphasis is placed on cultivating healthy body alignment, fluid postural movement, and parasympathetic regulation, while learning to read the fascial roadmap as it reveals itself through direct experience.

You will learn to:
- Apply full-body myofascial techniques used in Structural Myofascial Therapy® through embodied, responsive touch
- Integrate Postural Somatic Awareness (PSA) as a lived assessment process during clinical sessions
- Develop a clear understanding of myofascial anatomy and physiology grounded in hands-on experience
- Maintain healthy body alignment and postural movement that support both your techniques and your own well-being
- Design safe, effective treatment sessions that adapt to each client’s unique structure

Creating Specificity
Duration: 3 days | 8 hours/day
Prerequisite: Successful completion of SMFT® Level 1
Course overview
Level 2 builds on the experiential foundations of Level 1 by refining perception and introducing greater anatomical clarity and clinical specificity. Participants deepen their use of Postural Somatic Awareness (PSA) while learning targeted approaches for the back, hips, legs, feet, and pelvic core, including work with the psoas.
This level expands the practitioner’s ability to respond to more defined postural and structural patterns while maintaining a connected, whole-body perspective. Dural balancing, advanced body reading, and strength-based strategies are introduced to support postural integrity, continuity, and integration.
Show Curriculum details

- Apply targeted SMFT® techniques with a clear sense of their global, relational effects
- Work safely with more specific treatment approaches for common structural patterns
- Integrate simple home explorations that support ongoing postural change
- Maintain supportive body alignment and fluid postural movement throughout all clinical work
Content includes:
- Targeted techniques for the back, hips, legs, feet, and psoas

Delving Deeper
Duration: 3 days | 8 hours/day
Prerequisite: Successful completion of SMFT® Levels 1 and 2
Course overview
Level 3 deepens the Structural Myofascial Therapy® process by integrating advanced anatomical knowledge, refined somatic perception, and highly specific manual techniques within an integrated whole-body framework. With a strong focus on breath, postural stabilization, and whole-body integration, participants expand their capacity to assess and respond to complex myofascial patterns through refined perception, movement, and embodied presence.
This level supports greater clinical precision, clearer therapeutic communication, and an enhanced ability to accompany clients through postural change using Somatic Postural Awareness (PSA).

Overview
Level 3 offers an in-depth exploration of the myofascial system, expanding both anatomical understanding and clinical language. Advanced manual techniques, breath-related inquiry, and postural stabilization exercises support nuanced, experience-based assessment and treatment strategies that integrate perception, movement, and touch.
You will:
- Deepen your understanding of myofascial anatomy across multiple body regions
- Expand your clinical vocabulary to guide clients through Postural Somatic Awareness
- Understand how breathing patterns influence global structure and function
- Explore healthier, more functional breathing strategies
- Integrate advanced SMFT® techniques from a whole-body perspective
- Combine manual work with postural awareness exploration and movement-based exercises
You will learn:
- Essential concepts and practical exercises related to respiratory physiology
- Advanced anatomy and physiology supporting new manual techniques
- Techniques addressing plantar fascia–related issues
- Techniques for sacral and occipital fascial networks
- Intra-buccal techniques and TMJ-related strategies
- Refined skills in body reading and movement exploration through PSA
- Strengthening and postural stabilization exercises
- Integration of all techniques and concepts into coherent, responsive treatment sessions
